Synopsis

Azar has been sentenced to life imprisonment for drug smuggling while her husband has been executed for a similar crime. In the prison Azar befriends a young addict girl, Neda, who is later released. Neda is now leading a straight life and is planning to marry Ramin. When Azar finds out that her teenage daughter has run away from home, she contacts Neda for help.

Director’s View

My film career can summarily be divided into three periods: The first period ended with THE SPOUSE (1991), while the second culminated in LIFE (1998).
NEGIN is the beginning of the third period. And I will be a good start.

Biography of Director

Born in Kashan in 1953, Asghar Hashemi began his film career as assistant director in 1973. Hashemi directed his first feature film in 1985.
